We are tucked back in a surprisingly quiet, small, and mostly residential beach town called Playa Cocal.  Yet we are only 200 meters from the main road/ highway in and out of Surf City, with quick and easy access to La Libertad, the capital city of San Salvador, and the airport.  This is as centrally located as you can get.  We are 30-45 minutes from everything.  Half a block away is a neighboring seafood restaurant and one of the best in the region, and they deliver to neighbors. 

Despite our being a small private beach town you can walk, via road or beach, to several restaurants, a few small hotels, and a 24/7 gas station with 5-10 minutes.  The lack of public parking and access keeps our beach very private even on the busiest of holidays.  There is a little known $20M luxury condo project about to break ground at the far west end of Playa Cocal, on the point.  This may bring a few more residents but imagine what it will do for property values.  The development in Surf City is astounding.  There are numerous commercial shopping centers being built within a mile of us including Walmart, Super Selectos grocery, Major Hardware supply.  Soon everything will be in our back yard, and 30 minute trips up the mountain to the capital city will only be necessary for legal and banking.
